About The Burford Times

The Burford Times

The Burford area has had its own community newspaper for over 100 years. Originally called The Burford Times at its beginning in 1885, it received new owners who changed its name to The Burford Advance. Over the years, it has been published by several owners.

In October 1985, Bill and Betty Johnston started publishing the Burford and area community newspaper as The Burford Times.

The newspaper has continued to be published as an independently-owned newspaper and is a subscription-only newspaper. It can be purchased at several local convenience stores (Burford Market, Burford Foodland, Tapper's Grillhouse, The Hitching Post, Sobey's in Paris, Oakland B&B Station, and Princeton Variety). Circulation is 2,000 papers per week, published weekly on Wednesdays. Distribution is done through Canada Post to Brantford and area, Burford, Harley, Scotland and Oakland, Princeton and area, and Paris.

National and local advertisers are a big part of what The Burford Times has to offer to our readers. Our office is located at 115 King St. in beautiful downtown Burford.
